There are many ways that you can get involved withThe Paper. If you have a specific question, then drop us an email. Otherwise, the information below will tell you the main areas of production that could use a little extra attention!

CONTRIBUTORS
We are constantly on the lookout for contributors. If you are into writing and feel there is a story that needs coverage, or you are a photographer or cartoonist and would like a regular platform to publish you work, we would love to hear from you. We are also looking to expand our editorial team and welcome anyoneinterested in this area.

Contributors can be located anywhere - we are happy to liaise with you via email or telephone. But if you live around Melbourne, we would also be happy to meet you in person!

DISTRIBUTION
At the moment, 4,000 copies of The Paper are printed every month. We need your help in getting these out to people. We post small amounts to various interstate locations, and drop off copies at various points around inner city and outer-Melbourne. However, we are continually looking for ways to expand our audience base.

We are looking for people who would be happy to hand out copies in the streets and on trains and trams - both in the city and the suburbs. So, if you aren't frightened of people and would be interested in volunteering a couple of hours every month, we want to hear from you.

If you are based outside of Melbourne and would like to distribute The Paper in your home town, we can mail you a small pack of copies every month. Contact us for more information.

PRODUCTION
Every month there is a significant amount of work that goes in to getting The Paper ready for print.

We have developed a tight style guide and have a couple of layout people on board - but it would be good to know of others who are interested in helping out. If you have some layout and design skills, and are familiar with Quark, contact us.

OTHER AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT
Ideally we would like someone to take on the role of subscription co-ordinator. We currently have around 115 subscribers and thisnumber is constantly growing.

Are you good at fundraising? If so we'd love to hear from you. The Paper is currently run by volunteers. We have established funding to cover our printing, but are in need of funds to cover other costs - such as telephone, internet and rent. There are grants and funding bodies which may support what we do, and we are interested in approaching them.

We are always on the lookout for anyone with good webdevelopment skills. The Paper website is updated regularly.
